Ribbe is dive shop software that runs your scuba shop and dive center from one connected platform.
Ribbe puts online booking for courses, dive trips and rental gear together with a point of sale, digital waivers, prepaid air cards, retail and payments, all on one customer record.

"Ribbe is an essential part of our rental operation."
"As a rental-first POS system, it makes it easy to book, process, and track rentals from start to finish. The system is intuitive, so seasonal staff can learn it quickly and use it correctly from day one. Ribbe also helps us maximize revenue with flexible pricing plans, add-ons, and late-return tracking, giving us more control over every rental."

Dive shop software, in depth
A dive shop is several businesses under one roof. On a busy Saturday the same counter sells a mask, fits a rental BCD, fills a dozen tanks, signs up an Open Water class and takes a deposit on next month's boat trip. Ribbe is dive shop software built for that day, so the student in the classroom, the diver at the fill station and the guest on the boat are the same customer with one history.
Each course is tied to the product that sells its seats, and every class date has its own seat cap online and at the counter. Students appear on the roster as they book, instructors sign off each curriculum item, and courses can be graded by sign-off, out of 100 or by letter. Quizzes and exams go to the student's phone by email, text or QR code and mark themselves. Certify a student and the certification lands on their record, and the instructor report totals sessions, pass rates, revenue and commission.

Sell a 10-fill air card at the register or online and it is issued to the diver with its own card number. With the diver on the ticket, each covered fill spends one punch and rings up at no charge, the receipt prints what is left, and the balance can be texted or emailed to the diver. Voids and returns put the punch back.
Pricing the card: how to price air fills and air cards.
The diver's certification number, agency and a photo of the c-card live on the customer record, captured on a phone through a QR code at the counter or added while booking online. Make the card required on the products that need it and the register and online checkout ask for it.
Gear by the unit. BCDs, regulators, wetsuits, computers and tanks are tracked unit by unit, with sizes and a security deposit on the order.
Scuba waiver. An editable Scuba & Snorkel Gear Rental release from the waiver library, signed at the counter, on the diver's phone or online.
Trips sell like courses: each departure has its own seats and can be booked online or at the counter, with a deposit. The manifest shows who is going, headcount, check-in, waiver, balance and travel-form status for every departure, and staff send the travel form, balance reminder or pre-trip reminder from it in one click. See tours and tickets and our dive trip manifest checklist.
The maintenance plans library has a scuba set you add in one step: a yearly visual inspection and a five-year hydrostatic test for cylinders, annual regulator service, BCD inspections and a rinse-and-check after every rental. Each has its own checklist and due date, items coming due show on the maintenance board, and a unit that fails an inspection can be taken out of service until it passes. These plans cover the gear your shop owns.
Ribbe is also a full retail point of sale: inventory with sizes and colors, purchase orders, barcode scanning and gift cards. Customer regulator servicing runs as work orders on the same record as the diver's courses, fills and rentals. For the whole picture, read the dive shop software guide.
Dive shop software FAQ
The best dive shop software runs the whole shop, not just the till. Look for course rosters with student progress and certifications, prepaid air cards, scuba gear rental with waivers and deposits, dive trip manifests, equipment maintenance schedules, retail inventory and online booking. Ribbe combines these with payments and reporting in one system for dive shops and dive centers.
Yes. Courses and dive trips sell on a Ribbe booking site or widget with live seat counts for each session or departure. Online bookings land on the course roster or the trip manifest automatically, and divers can sign the waiver and add their c-card photo while they book.
An air card is a punch-card product with a number of fills and an optional expiry. When a diver buys it, the card is issued to their profile. Each time they buy a covered fill, Ribbe spends a punch and the fill rings up free, the receipt prints the balance, and voided or returned fills put the punch back.
Not directly today. Ribbe tracks each student's progress and certification and stores the agency and certification number on the customer, but it does not sync student records or eLearning codes with a training agency. You process certifications with your agency as you do now.
Yes, for the cylinders your shop owns. Each one can carry a yearly visual inspection plan and a five-year hydrostatic test plan with due dates and checklists, alongside regulator and BCD service plans. Customer-owned cylinders and a gas-blend fill log are not tracked yet.
Ribbe offers Starter, Pro, and Multi-Location plans, and the main difference is the number of locations, terminals, kiosks, and waivers you need. There are no required upfront software costs. See the pricing page or talk to us for a quote.
